Doulas are BENEFICIAL!

A few days ago, I talked to a first-time mom about her baby’s birth. The mom stated that her baby was born and the process of labor was awful and traumatic. Her support system was her husband. The health team was short and limited in answering her questions. Instead of a simple delivery, it ended up a being a c-section.

This brief scenario above I provided could be prevented if only, the decision was made to include a support system, midwife and/or a doula. Doulas are very important and essential for new parents that has no family available to them. Doulas provides guidance for mother and partner to make informed decisions.

Doulas provides the ability to understanding the emotional and physical needs of a mother. The doula will assist you with a birth plan of their wishes of the birthing experience and atmosphere. Doulas provides support through-out your pregnancy, side by side while in labor until the birth and postpartum. Assuring that the birthing process will be as calm and memorable, positive birth experience.
